One Direction Split Up Into Five Directions

British famous boyband, One Direction split up for a year. The decision of One Direction split up has been reported on last Sunday, August 23rd 2015. It has been five years since Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik were formed into One Direction through X-Factor shows, mentored by Simon Cowell. For the last five years, One Direction has collected five Brit Awards, four MTV Video Music Awards, over three billion YouTube views, 50 million records sold worldwide and an estimated $130million fortune later. However, it looks like the beginning of the end for the Brit boyband.

According to the report in The Sun which has cited by BBC, One Direction split up will start in March 2016 after the release of their fifth studio album. In the meantime, the band will continue to tour, and their fifth album is expected to be released before their break begins. One Direction split up decision is a form of freedom for them to choose their own directions.

Earlier this month, longtime One Direction producer and songwriter Julian Bunetta, told Entertainment Weekly, when he were asked if One Direction fifth album would be their last album :

“I know they’re taking a much-deserved break.”

“They’ve been doing something that no band has ever done — five albums, five tours, and a movie in five years. It’s pretty prolific and incredible. It’s up to them. They might take a year off and miss it.”

“I think it’s important for them to have a relationship that isn’t strained by being gone all the time. It’s important for them to do whatever they want as individual men and not have to make a democratic decision for once. I think it’s important for them to do whatever their hearts desire. Maybe their hearts will lead them back together. I hope.”

As Artist Of The Year (2014) on American Music Award, and Top Touring Artist (2015) on Billboard Music Award, the news of One Direction split up comes five months after Zayn Malik left the group and just a few days after current members Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles and Liam Payne dressed like astronauts for the “Drag Me Down” music video.

At the time Liam Payne thanked directioners for sticking with the band and “not thinking it’s finished”.

He tweeted: “I can see a lot of people thanking us for staying but you’re the real Heros (sic) here thanks for not thinking it’s finished.” In the response, directioners shows mixed reactions on One Direction band members split for a year :

However, the source insisted the separation was temporary. “It is definitely not a split and they fully intend to get back together at some time in the future,” the source said.
