We’ve seen unique creative furniture before that has been far away from people’s imagination and actually works. But how about this unique building which looks like an entirely distorted and crooked? Well, there’s always a first time for everything.
There is an unique building in Sopot, Poland, which is too unique to be true. Designed by Szotyńscy & Zaleski who were inspired by the fairytale illustrations and drawings of Jan Marcin Szancer and Per Dahlberg, this unique building named “Krzywy Domek” means “Crooked House” in English. Built in 2004, it names reflect everything, and it’s not because the camera effect that makes it look crooked or blurry.
Now, the 43,000-square-foot building is home to several offices, shopping center, restaurant, bar, cafe, and even club & pubs. Krzywy Domek is the place where the largest Polish and global companies from various industries such as finance, health, media, and entertainment opened their offices. This unique building truly never sleeps. With 3 floors, 1 ground floor, and of course the ‘Crooked House’ architecture, this unique building also joins the ranks of the world’s strangest buildings.
Krzywy Domek is open for rent. Currently on their ground floor, there are cafes, restaurants, shops and service points. On the 1st floor, there are dentist, optician, orthopedist, professional beauty salons and the nation-wide radio station. On the 2nd and 3rd floors there are office and entertainment place.
